I like the 10mm, so I built myself one on a Glock 20SF frame. Mine is a longslide version with a 6" long barrel.
I originally built it for hunting, but it ended up one of my favourite plinkers. With a full house load from Underwood, it has more energy at 100 yards than 40S&W has at the muzzle. ILya

I have a couple of 40S&W's... never liked that round... lot's of noise and recoil for not a lot of performance. I'm just shooting up all my .40S&W ammo and then getting rid of them. .357SIG is my favorite pistol round for a carry gun (.50AE is my FAVE). For a wheel gun... .44Mag. I like the 10mm, have shot a few, but don't have one. Just have never found the need.

Do you have any comparison on how the 10mm recoils versus a 40? My G23 beat my trigger finger up.

Good advice there Dan. All you need is a barrel, everything else in a Glock is the same.

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

I have only shot a G22. With the FBI loads, the G20 is easy on recoil. With full house 10mm the Glock has substantially higher recoil and muzzle flip.

Many years ago, my pistol club valued the power factor. We didn't have PACT timers, so we used stop watches to time our matches. Our match director shot with Jeff Cooper when they all first got started, and was lightening fast. If your last shot was on paper, then your time stopped on that shot, which can be hard to catch with a stop watch, so most stages were set up with the last shot being on steel. The time didn't stop on steel until the plate hit the ground. Real 10mm, .45s, and .357s ruled steel. I'd like to see those days come back.

No issues with that whatsoever. There is weight forward with this gun though. ILya
