i have a 16x super sniper mounted on a savage model 12 lrp rifle using ss low scope mounts and a 20moa pic. base...trying to sight it in but it shoots high at 100 yards and and at 200 yard shoots 18 inches high evedn after turning the scope elevation all the way down to the stop. is this a problem with the scope or is the 20 moa base the problem. i need some help. thanks

the 16x SS typically has greater than 100MOA of adjustment. I can't imagine that you would have problems with a 20MOA base. I would contact SWFA customer service.

Welcome to Optics Talk.
Do you have another set of 30mm rings you can try with that scope? PM inbound....

no extra 30mm rings. had a guy tell me that swfa had some bad ss rings made. could i have gotten a bad pair of them? have badger 20moa base with a 16x ss scope. still have no idea why its shooting so high at 100 yards and 200 yards....18" and 12" with the scope elevation maxed all the way down. should i start with new 30mm low rings from badger or do you think its a scope problem with the super sniper? windage is right on and when i was walking it down the paper target it was adjusting down til it hit the stop....still 18 inches high. thought i knew alot til this build. would loved some advise. just an old desert storm marine building something new with the best parts i thought i had.

I would definitely try different rings. If you can afford the Badgers I recommend them heavily. If not, TPS is a pretty good substitute. But I still recommend contacting SWFA.

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?
