so im thinking of getting a different scope for my .204. i currently have a 3x9x40 bushy trophy with cricle plex. and im thinkin ill get a different scope for it. im leaning towards this badboy right here http://swfa.com/Bushnell-5-15x40-Elite-3200-Rifle-Scope-P8748.aspx
i like the fact it goes up to 15 and that its mil-dot the 3x9 power just dont cut it. yeah it whould be perefect for deer or something. but im going to get back into coyote hunting and hogs too. im not big on fixed power scopes and i hear good things about the elite series of scopes.
what do you guys think?

For what you plan on using it for, you'll be plenty happy with it.

You didn't give a price point,so I'll just recommend what I've been using for the last 2 yrs, Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x42,with mildot,fire fly & has the best rain guard on the market.Same glass as the 4200 but a little more versatile.Without going into the stratisphere price wise This is a great all around scope & should meet all your needs!

What are you using it for, primerly? Coyotes, rock-chucks, prarie dogs, ground squirrels? For the smallest critters I would look for a scope up into the 20x range for 2 reasons;
1. Optically @ 15 to 16 power the clarity would probably be better (but not necessarly (depends on the scope quality)) than a 15-16x scope.
2. If you're shooting way out there at ground squirrels (>450 yards) the magnification can help help depending on light conditions.
If you're also using it in wooded areas then the lower power has to be taken into play. I've never looked thru one but it woud seem to me a 4-30 Bushnell or a scope in that power range would be very beneficial.
