Other than the big name scopes of today most are junk compared to the older scopes that came out of Japan (Asia Optics) in the 1980's, 1990's,all quality with great optics...those were the days.....I buy and sell old scopes because buy low sell high and make money for buying Ammo....Tasco-Japan are the Best of the Old Scopes.........
B careful what U wish 4, U may get it!!!!

Hmmmm, I know it's abouty $100 above his budget but I'm surprised noone has mentioned the SWFA Ultralite Rimfire with 50Yd parallax.   https://www.swfa.com/optics/riflescopes/swfa-ss-2-5-10x32-ultralight-rimfire-scope.html

The Swift 8-32x50 is a reasonably priced scope that I have found to be quite satisfactory.  It still has a great warranty and the glass is Schott BAK7 made in USA... better than a lot of alternatives.  Mine was assembled in South Korea.  It is on a .243 BAR and it is consistently 1/2 MOA or better at 300 yards with factory ammo.
Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.
