I was looking very strongly at a 260 Rem, but have been hearing more about the 6.5 Creedmore. The guy at JP was trying to steer me towards a 6.5 Creedmore over the 260 Rem.

Can anyone help me out with this choice? It will be primarily a target rifle. Also any difference in barrel wear between the two?

They are ballistically very similar. The .260 has a bit more case capacity, but the Creed fits in an ar-15. Both use the same bullets, but the Remington has more brass offerings and is a bit cheaper because of the mark-up for the Creedmore name. If this for a gas gun, you might also look into the .264 LBC. It is virtually identical to the creed, but without the mark-up. But if this for a bolt-gun, I believe the .260 is the winner because of more velocity...
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Agreed.

260 for the bolt gun.

6.5 Creed for the AR.

Both are pretty easy on barrels, I think.

What a rough problem to have which laser do you choose...

For Target if you reload .260 Case Capacity and LAPUA BRASS and LAPUA Bullets...

A creed does not fit in the AR-15.  It fits in the .308 size AR.  the 6.5 grendel fits in the AR.

Thanks for the responses. I am leaning towards the .260. Although I will have to look at the .264LBC.

264 LBC is the same thing as a 6.5 Grendel.  Just different enough to get out of Alexander's umbrella.

Kinda but the 264 has a better shoulder angle and has performed better than the Grendel design
