Has anyone used the reduced loading data for 150 gr on the Speer website? This will be out in the #14 this spring some time. Seems to be a great target practice load in the 300 wsm. Right at 30-30 levels. Might be ok for deer also.

I found it in Speer's supplemental reloading data for things that aren't in print for them yet. What did Shooting Times have to say?

not much performance wise some guy was asking them the same question you did, and they gave the numbers and told him to go to speers page, i am curious as to why you want to load the 300wsm down so far?

Let's see. A few things that come to mind are:
practice
longer brass life
less erosion
practice
less time between shots when barrel starts heating up
fun of reloading something different
practice
I was really looking to push 165 gr to about 2700-2800 fps and found that while I was looking
It does increase the flexibility of that cartridge just as it does for the 308, 30-06 and 300 wm
did I say practice

unless you are shooting everyday your not going to wear the barrel out any time soon. i have had one for years and the last time a gun smith checked out the barrel he calculated 90-95% life left and i shoot that gun a couple times a month at full strength loads.
