I see that SWFA has the monarchs on sale for $219 I have no experience with this scope but have a bunch of 4200's and 3 4200 3-9's. You can get the 4200 for $259.

Would you spend $40 more and get the 4200?

I would go with the Nikon Monarch, for the money you won't beat their optics.

4200 Elite has better optics than the Monarch.
