Mid way seems to have plenty of brass, where they don't have any 7mmwsm brass. It is kind of expensive though.
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

That cartridge doesn't look to have too much of a future.  You can find brass now, but later ... who knows?

Neither are as popular as there WSM counter parts. And I believe Remington is the only one to make this brass.

WSM won out on the short and fat war.  Even Remington is chambering for the WSMs now.

remington waited to long to put the rsaum out. if they would been thinking with their dipstick jimmy, they would have just waited for a couple of years after winchester released the wsm's and just chambered them in m-700's. but remington's marketing division has a knack for f'ing up a good thing at least once every decade.Loco

Not entirely true. Remington wanted a cartridge to fit in the M7 that had short mag performance. The WSM's were a bit too long (aprox 01" depending on version). They had to work on the M7 to get it in that gun. Which, they eventually did.
The SAUM are certainly fine performers in the M7. They just didn't sell well. I personally would just as soon have the 7-08 in an M7.

I was actualy planning on getting a 7mm-08.......in a Stainless Marlin XS7, for an all weather rifle.  But then I saw a good deal on a model 7 stainless in 7mm RSAUM. The 7-RSAUM kinda reminds me of a 284Win,  which I also have a foundness for.

If you reload, I think the SAUM will be great.

my 6.5 rem mag i  had in a 673 (which is a model 7 action) and its case which is longer than the wsm and the rsaum is and it fit just fine. the case oal of the 6.5rem mag is 2.170 the wsm is only 2.100 and the rsaum is 2.035 ( in 7mm)  i wonder if the bolt face difference in the wsm/rsaum may have had more to do with it than the length????

I have 77 Ruger in 7mm short Rem. It shoots fine and the difference between the Win & Rem short mags isn't enough to worry about.  Buy up a supply of brass and you are good to go. The Winchesters have won the war but who care if you reload. The 284 Winchester was all but dead and you can get brass for that,Excellent
