Let me start by saying hello to all, i am new to the forum as far as being a member, but have visited the site often for knowledge. i recently purchased an ACOG 2x20. i have been looking for a compact ACOG for sometime for close range shooting with just a little extra magnification, as i have noticed that when i get out past 40 yard my eyes need a little more help than in the past. i love the little thing, it fits the bill for what i am doing with it perfectly, very light, great eye relief, amber dot is very fast with target acquisition and SUPER bright. with all that being said, unfortunately when you look through the optic on the left side the defining black edge looks like it is flaking. i really dont know how to describe it but i have pics. it does not effect the optic, but would just like to know what has caused this and if anyone knows what something like this my cost to be repaired. here are some pics, any info would be appreciated. thanks in advance,
doc sorry you have to copy and paste the links for the pics, havent used photobucket in a while and couldnt remember how to add them directly. http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s384/docsspot/DSC_5361_zpspsacynz8.jpg http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s384/docsspot/DSC_5363_zps0d0smvbv.jpg http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s384/docsspot/DSC_5365_zpszwv2ucli.jpg http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s384/docsspot/DSC_5366_zpsbffktl0g.jpg

Is the optic new or used?
When you have a perfect sight picture, is any of it visible - or only when viewed off-axis? |

Freedom is something you take.
Respect is something you earn. Equality is something you whine about not being given. |

WOW, thanks for the fast response. the optic i used, but the exterior is pristine as well as the glass except what you are seeing in the pic. with a prefect sight picture, it is still visible, but negligible. the best way for me to put it is, it is there, but doesnt really effect anything. similar to the front buis with these optics, you see it, but doesnt effect anything.
thanks again, doc
