Wow, I just got two of these to go with my Seekins DBM bottom metal.  They look to be extremely good quality.

They look to be much much better quality than the HS brand mags I replaced.  Plus they are a good $70 cheaper per mag.  No I just need to get my stock to the Smiths to get it set up.  Yippee

+1 I even have an alternate ( I think they are called ALPHA mags they fit just the same and they are cheaper yet).

I will try to post.

Those sound good too.  I like that they are shorter, I will have to try a couple of those next.

Thanks

sounds interesting.  I have a .308 with Badger Bottom metal that runs AI mags.  Would like to know about the Alpha mags if they are good.

KMW, VBULL (JW precesion), AICS (modified), CDI(modified), and occasionally I just alter factory BM...Have done that to CZ's and FN's.

Out of all of them the VBULL is the best... I am still bitter...

About the CDI, KLUNKY & JUNKY No offense but there is no comparison, the release mechanism is unsightly and gets in the way IMVHO.

However again I think that taking factory and converting it to accept the ALPHA mags works just fine...

The Seekins one I just got seems to be very good quality.  It has a mag release just like an AR.  It has a button on both sides that you can just push with your index finger.  I do not have it installed yet, but the AI makes fall free without any hangups.

America Precision Arms also has one they built that is suppose to be very nice, but it is super pricy.  $350.  The Seekins in only $230.  And we all know Glen makes excellent stuff.

Glen makes one for the Ultra mags and 338 Lapua as well.  http://seekinsprecision.com/index_p.php?p=dmag

I'm running both a CDI and the Seekins with the Alpha mags. Both work well, but the Seekins is the better design. I cut the release lever on the CDI down (http://www.opticstalk.com/cdi-bottom-metal-mod_topic27022.html) which helped. I like the Alphas because they're shorter.

That is the reason I chose the Seekins vs CDI as well.  Heard to many stories of it dropping mags.

The CDI is otherwise well-designed and well-made. The price is good too, as is the cost of inletting. His service was quick and professional. I'd bet, if asked, CDI would shorten the lever like I did before shipping it off.

I talked to him on the phone, he seemed like a really nice guy.  He quoted me $60 to inlet, I almost did it, but just wanted the push button release of the Seekins.  My smith will probably charge me twice that to do it.  Loco  Oh well.

I got a pair of standard length 10 rounders awhile back...they work as good as the AI mag that came with my rifle.

I see no need to buy an AI mag with the Alpha's being of such high quality for less $$.
