I just mounted an aimpiont low profile mount & ring on my HK91. I mounted it to the rear of the ejection port. The flip up cap in the rear does not clear the rear site. Also this is my first aimpoint.  When holding at normal shoulder position the dot when centered in the tube is right in line with the top of my front site hood. Is my low profile mount too low?

Welcome to the diamond saw club. Your mount is too low. Also it is very difficult to find one high enough. Even with a see thru B-Square and the H-K sniper stock riser on my CETME the front site obstructs the field of view. Decision time, cut off the front post or use a low power scope that focuses past the front sight (all optics do this).

Exchange that ring for one of the extra high rings or go with the quick release flattop ring and spacer.
