The SS 3-15 is FFP so it works on any power setting. The reticle changes as you change the power setting, so it is correct at any power setting. Only SFP scope are correct at one power setting.

If you get the SS 3-15X42 FFL the ranging can be done at any power. This gives the ability to range the target Or shoot the reticle at any power setting.

Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow
Now the rules have changed again.

Howdy alien883,
Welcome to OT.
Weekends can be slow for responses, so if you don't get an answer, just give SWFA a call during business hours, next week. They'll have the info on the SFP version of the 3-15X.

Ps I believe the answer is 15X, but that is inferred from Koshkin's "1st look" article. Some of these optics whiz guys can figure out SFP calibrations at any power. Most of us regular knob twisters, not so much. Here's Koshkin's 1st look: http://opticsthoughts.com/?p=1479

My bad. I forget they make a SFP 3-15 and the correct power is 15X.
