I’m looking to buy a new scope with good low light capabilities and was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Minox ZE 5i? My other choice is a Meopta meostar but I found a pretty good deal on the Minox.

Sorry no knowledge of either scope, but I am sure someone with knowledge of one or both will be along to help. Welcome to the OT!

No experience with that model of Minox but you can't go wrong with a MeoStar, imo.

Was looking at the meostar 4-16x44 but I found a really good deal on a minox zei5. 3-15x56. I have a few meopro 4-12x50’s and they are pretty good in lowlight but want something a little better in lowlight.

ZEi is an excellent scope and probably better than Meostar R1.

I have a ZX5, and love it. Very good glass. I love Minox as a company. They took care of me.
I had a ZA5, and if you know anything about those scopes, Minox subbed out assembly and the companyt did a poor job of QC. I sent mine back, and I got back a scope that someone installed on a long action, and it had awful scope ring marks on it. I complained and Minox Germany swapped me out with the ZX I have now. The ZX is 3x15X50 and a 30mm tube. It is very well made, very good glass. I haven't gotten to hunt with it yet, so I can't say how it does in really low light, but if it is anything like the ZA5 I sent back, I know I won't be disappointed.

I've had two versions s of the minox zx5ix25x56mm, if you want to know about the lowlight performance it placed extremely well in every aspect in the 2016 putdoorlife scope shoot out,The zxe and zxe.2 are step ups of the zx model,if I had the resources I would buy the ze.2 Customer service is good a little slow but solid ,when mu 1st zx5ix25x56mm went out I contacted Blaer USA in Texas who handle all minox sport optics and Katrin of customer service did her best to accommodate me and sent me a ZA5XIX25X56 HD which was okay but nowhere what the zxi was ,a month later Minox sent me a 100%New second generation zxi5x25x56mm which optically I would put up on any scope in its price range, wellthe Ze qnd Ze.2 are even better!

As it was it tied the Razor for definition and contrast.
For some reason Minox does not get any press reviews or credit |
