I have a surefire with push-button activation and it works fine with either hand. I also have the streamlights that have a rocker in the back, which works even better. Flipped one way it is on, flipped the other it momentary on.

I don't like vertical grips as I use a hand stop as far forward as possible, allowing me to drive the muzzle.

My ARs are all suppressed, which, admittedly, changes things quite a bit.

Vertical grips do not work for me.

I think I will get WML fro Inforce and a more conventional Streamlight and experiment.

Hi, it's nice to see you here, thank you for the question. Well, I think that a very {Amazon link removed} is needed for your activity, but since you do not want to spend a lot of money, I advise you to look for something on the Internet or consult with your friends. I am sure that each of them faced a similar problem, but they all found a suitable flashlight with a pressure switch. But I still think that this is a matter of habit, that is, you need to get used to it and that's it =) My grandfather used to say that any convenience is a habit, and habits are easy to change. But if it's important for you, then still look on the Internet, there is definitely something there. I would also advise you to pay attention to the Vont LED headlamp, I use it and I am very comfortable with it. I wish you good luck!

I think you've come to the right place. I do a lot of camping, and I've changed a lot of flashlights in my life. Now I know a lot about them. I would advise you to think about an LED lantern right away, it has huge advantages, including perfect adjustable lighting. I would advise you to consider such a flashlight. I can't imagine my camping without it. It's the best lantern I've had in my last 3 years. Plus, it's compact. If you consider my option, please share if it worked for you.

I know you are just spamming the thread with amazon links, but I would really like to see you attach a freaking lantern to an AR-15.

IDK about you guys, but the vertical grips are pretty handy for me to use. However, I haven't tried others. Still, I work in the light industry for quite a while, and for example, my all-time favorite lanterns are collapsible LED lanterns from. Of course, they are not for the AR-15, but they have been an awesome addition to my emergency kit; they also make excellent nightlights when camping and fishing or for around the house during power outages. I also like the fact that I can use them in a pinch as a flashlight too.

Ya know, I have one of those pop up lanterns, and he is right, they are handy. HOWEVER for a weapon mounted light, they are terrible. I hung one on the end of my AR one night when a coon was in the garbage. Didn't put good light on the coon like a surefire or streamlight, and when I finally thought I had the shot, I pulled the trigger and everything went dark. The coon got away, the light no longer works, or at least what I can find of it, and my garbage can lid hinge is broke.
Yes Sir, lanterns just don't make good weapon mounted lights.

And if you believe this story, I've got a great car I can sell ya. Just needs a little TLC.

My friend bought a few PD25s and liked them. When choosing a flashlight for the AR-15, I've just looked at random flashlights that seemed good. And I chose the most ordinary LED flashlight of a small size, which I ordered on Amazon, so I suggest you look at some options there since you do not want to purchase the Surefire X400. However, I will still buy the Surefire X400 in the future because I have read many positive reviews of it, and I believe I can afford to buy it.
