I get red dots and have used them since Aimpoint introduced their early ones. I have a very old one mounted on a Ruger Mini 14 that came off a Ruger Mark II when I sold it. If I cannot find an appropriate holo for my Ruger Mark IV (much easier to clean) I will go back to a red dot.

But, there is no disputing that holos are faster than red dots against moving targets. So, I want to try one if I can find one that makes sense on running bunnies and other small game.

Any experience or suggestions on holos?

Why would holos be faster?

Either way, there are no holographic sights small enough to fit on a Mark IV easily.

Get a miniature red dot of some sort.

I am not a hand gunner so take this with a large grain of salt but would a Burris Fastfire be worth checking out.

I’ve got a Fastfire III and it works quite well and is quite compact…

I use a sig romeo on a 9mm but with the right mounting it could go on a 22 no problem
