My camera lenses all have standard threads for filters, and are marked with the diameter that will fit.

Most of my scopes have threads that look similar, but they are not marked with a diameter.  And from what I've read so far, there is no such thing as a standard sunshade thread.  Is that correct?

Or do some (or all) scopes with threading in front of the objective lens have threads that conform to any specification?
