How can I adapt a ART MPC scope to a flat top AR10 or AR15?
The base is a weaver style mount. Some say it should fit but the two screws that clamp the base are not spaced right for the Picatinny rails. It is between 1/16th to 1/8 inch difference in spacing of those screws and just enough to prevent me from mounting it to the 1913 Picatinny rails ( MIL-STD-1913) any ideas? I know I will need a 1/2 riser to get the scope high enough to comfortably sight and shoot. Thank you for reading this. |

I can not understand your fixation on using outdated technology on a platform that it was not designed to operate on. Sure it can be done, but where is the gain. Just get a Weaver rail or for better service, a scope at the same price point of your repairs. A scope that with today's technology and coatings will out preform a 40 year old scope even after being restored.
Seems similar to wanting to take a 1972 Volkswagen Beetle and install a c-9 Caterpillar engine. The beetle uses the same pusher technology, but the Caterpillar C-9 will outweigh the entire Volkswagen as it was manufactured. |
