    Posted: February/23/2010 at 01:16
I have for sale a beautiful Sako 75. I have been doing a lot of consolidation amidst my firearms collection in favor of some more expensive collectors items and a project rifle and this one is going to have to go as well.

The firearm was purchased NEW by me and I still have the accompanying box, manual, lock and all other assorted paperwork. As you can see, this rifle is very pretty and the wood is as nice as some of the deluxe grade Sako's I have seen recently.

The caliber is .270 Winchester with a roughly 23 inch barrel (I think it is something like 22 and 5/8th but you can always look it up in the factory listings if the difference matters to you). The rifle balances very well and will make an excellent hunting rifle for someone who still enjoys the warm feel of a walnut stocked rifle on a cold wintery day.

The condition of the rifle is excellent, it has some VERY minor marks which I will attempt to describe below:
There are some very light indentations on the side of the stock right in front of the bolt handle. I believe these are the result of spent brass smacking the side of the stock after being ejected with a little too much force. Also, there is some ever so slight blue wear around the front action screw. Otherwise, the firearm is immaculate. It has been extremely well maintained and cleaned and has seen no abusive hunting or shooting practices. All together I would ballpark maybe 300-350 rounds through the rifle.

Some of the pictures show a Kahles scope. This scope is being sold separately and is not included in the price of the rifle. The Leupold rings however are included and they are the standard High rings with a matte finish. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask. I am willing to entertain offers if you have one.

The asking price for this 98% Sako 75 (.270 Win) w/box, papers, and Leupold rings will be:
850 plus shipping&insurance (25 dollars)

750  700 plus shipping!!! for a Sako 75 in beautiful condition, this rifle retailed new for over 1200 dollars and even used typically go for 900 and up. Capitalize on this deal, I need cash to fund a project so you get a great gun at a GREAT price!!!

Thanks,
Michael

I really like the more traditional look of the 75 series over the new 85, thats a beautiful rifle right there.

I think Pyro is a closet .270 lover.  One day when the time is right he will come out.

fat chance of that, although if the op said he would give it to me so i would stop "haten" i would probably shut up for a minute, then get it rebarreled for .280AI

Michael, that is a beautiful rifle.  Alas, I already have a rifle chambered for the most perfect round.  The individual that purchases this rifle will be a happy camper indeed.

I love it in .270 Win except I just bought a Sako 85 Hunter.  Nice rifle.  Btw, I can't see any "Classic" styling vs my Sako 85, except yours has a higher luster stock finish.  Otherwise they look like twins.
