What are you wanting it for? If it’s for hunting-good luck, your options are very limited. It seems that almost all of these are built and 30mm tubes and weigh over a pound. Personally, I have the Leupold VXi 1.5-5X20. It’s very light and it’s ok. It’s not better than ok though. If you want a tacticool scope in that price range try the Burris RT-6 1-6X24.

Under $500 I would look toward a hunting type scope, not one with lots of bells and whistles.  The Leupold listed above is a decent scope.  The Leupold VXr/patrols are decent scopes.

If you want a more tactical the SWFA SS 1-4x is a good scope and I would say a decent exception to my comment above.

If you will spend a little more on Amazon they still have a Vortex Razor 1.5-8x32.  It is usually floating between $550 and $600.  Very good scope.
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

SWFA has their 1-4X24 on sale right now. I doubt you’ll find a better deal for a quality LPVO than that.

I love this scope, SWFA SS 1-4x. I have had it now for several months and the only downside is the radical is a little thick. S WF a makes great products. They are more like a tank then an aim point!
