Burris 1.75-5x32 Signature Safari Rifle Scope

  • Hunter Knobs

Does anyone have first hand experience with this scope?  I am thinking it would be a great scope for my new Tikka T3 lite 30-06.  My concern is it seems the FOV is small for this power of scope.  Thanks, catt

I used one for a year on my 30-06 elk rifle.  I liked it a lot.  An friend of mine has installed one on several heavy recoiling rifles, and it has stood up well.
 
As far as the FOV, I never noticed any problems in the field.  I just compared it to the Leupold 1.75-6x32, and they were very comparable.
 
I personally like the fact this particular scope has a slightly thicker crosshair, which seems to really show well in low light and in the brush.

Does the ballistic plex only work on 5x like the 3-9 only work on 9?  Thanks for the info Steve.  catt

I'm sorry, I didn't notice you were looking at the Ballistic Plex model.  The model I used had the Taper Plex reticle.                  
 
I'm pretty sure that the Ballistic Plex will be set for 5x, but it would be best to contact customer service at Burris or SWFA to find out for sure.
