I dont know if this is the right area to ask this question or not but here it goes anyways. I have a burris xtrii 1.5-8x that i use for 3 gun! Its a nice scope and gets the job done. I am looking at getting one of the higher power models to put on a $1,700 air rifle. I shoot out to 200 yards with it. Its not your grampas air rifle thats for sure. Shoots 1.5moa out to 100 yards. Anyway I wanted to know if there is any one who works on scopes who can chage the minimum focus distance from 50 yards down to 10 or 25 yards? I shoot a lot of pests with this rifle and want the close focuse and thats the only thing holding me back from getting this scope.

Thanks for your help guys!

I dont know if a burris can be changed or not. But if not, one to consider would be the swfa 3-15x. It goes down to 6 meters.

I have looked at that scope as well. Im not a huge fan of the reticle or the knobs that stick out so far. I HAD A 10X FIXED super sniper and while hunting ripped the knob right off the scope. Swfa replaced it asap but that didn't  help me much on my elk hunting trip. I did however get an elk the next year at 570yards with the super sniper 16x scope :) good glass just not exactly what I am looking for on this gun

Not sure if u have seen the burris xtr 2 first hand or not, but those knobs stick way out too. Especially the illumination/parallax knob. I bet theres not and 1/8 difference in height on the elevation/windage knobs.

I do get your other reasons. But if tall knobs are a big issue for you the burris may not be an optimal choice either.

Vortex diamonback hp goes down to 30 yards.

Also maybe a leupold as their custom shop could set it to whatever u want i bet. Thats one nice features Leupolds have.

Yeah, that is a good deal indeed.  Good job on that one.  I almost bought that one a while back, looks like a good scope on paper at least.

It has good glass and I like the reticle.
The turrets feel good they are capped so perfect for a hunting gun. Might test this one out on my deer rifle here in a few weeks :)
