I have a M700 VSSF II in .204 and just bought a 8-32x44 Signature scope for it and the rifle came with a set of weaver style bases. Can I use the Zee rings or do I need special extension rings?

Thanks!
Ian

I don't see why not, the 700 action is not long by any stretch of the imagination.

But be sure you have steel bases!  The Zee rings are steel, and pretty darned good too.  I have them on 2 rifles. they are solid.  But if you use them on aluminum bases, it wont be good, the Zee rings will mash the softer aluminum.

If you do not have steel bases, I highly recommend the Warne Maxima bases (available here at SWFA).

If you like the Burris, then you should consider the Burris Signature rings.

They have inserts that help correct misalignment. No lapping needed. Increased surface contact between ring and scope for a better hold. They can also be used like a 20 base. Just get the correct ones. Also the inserts protect your scope for getting ring marks. They are really pretty cool.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
