As the title suggests I’m in the market for a new scope to mount to my Tikka T3 Superlite. I’m trying to keep it around the $500 range and so far I’ve narrowed my search to the two I’ve mentioned. the Bushnell would have the DOA 600 reticle and the Nikon with the BDC reticle. I’ve heard good things out the Bushnell i.e RAIN HD coating, Japanese made glass, etc. Nikon, having a proven history in camera’s for awhile now obviously would have excellent glass as well specifically for low light situations. I just can’t make up my mind and would like some input.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the OT Forum Carlford08! Of the two mentioned, I'd take the Bushy. There are many great scopes out there that would fit the bill. Have you checked out the Meopta, Sightron, Vortex and Minox lines? Also, don't forget to check out the Samplelist here. Good luck.

Welcome aboard.  For the money you are talking about for the 4500, you might want to consider the following on the Sample List.

Thanks for the reply’s so far guys! I was looking at the 6500 a like it a lot. How does it compare to the Nikon prostaff Prostaff 7 Riflescope 4-16x42 or the MONARCH 3 4-16x42?

Can't help with the comparison with the Prostaff 7 or Monarch 3.  The original Nikon Monarch was my standard rifle scope but like the 6500 better.  Glass on the 6500 is on par with the older Zeiss Conquest that I have and I prefer the lower magnification range.

Not sure if you bought a scope yet but I would highly recommend you take a look at SWFA scopes, I own a 12x42 SS and it is great, and I have heard the Primary Arms are great for the money.  PA has a 4-14x44 front focal plane for $230 that has gotten excellent reviews.  I would have purchased one, and still might for another rifle, but the reason I went with the SS is last time I was at the range the guy next to me had an SWFA SS, I like it so much I bought one.
