Bushnell in the new Cabelas catalog now makes a scope specifically for cantilevered barrels. The first words of the ad says " 6" of eye relief !
designed so you can shoot a cantilevered..gun without...worrying about being too close to your scope"   . So I wonder if the cantilevered scope
mount on my Rem 1187 combined w. the 3" eye relief contributed to the scar i have between my eyes!!! I see the Leupold vx-iii 1.5 - 5 has 5.3" to
3.7" ( I presume that means that on variable scopes eye relief decreases often on higher power). That's generous as wel as the unlimited eye relief
from Bushnell's gen III Holosight..Any opinions?

I see I left off my 3" eye relief nose bashing scope- it is a Bushnell 4200 1.5 - 6 on that cantilevered Rem 1187

We do not stock that model yet but can order one for you.  Sound like the ideal shotgun set up.  Most of the scout scopes are low power and have the wrong eye relief, this new scope sounds taylor made for what you are doing.

The Holosight is another great choice but lacks magnification and is Dependant on batteries.  Holo is better for multiple moving targets (hogs).
