anyone know what kind of mount this is on this steyr? i have an elite of my own and this mounting mehtod seems excellent and id like to hunt one down myself

That's a nice rifle.

Not sure about the mount.   

The scope is a US Optics SN-3 w/ lit reticle.

It looks like an Eagle Arms- note how the base comes really close to the ejection port- you may want to reconsider

The mount is made by Armalite. I have one and while it seems to be sturdy and well built I did manage to break one of the screws holding the ring which required a trip back to Armalite for a no cost repair and replacement of the screw. The set up is in the $200 range and comes either 30mm or 1in.    Would I buy it again --NO. I'd put on Badger rings.  But if you put one scope on and leave it there it's great, I just can't seem to do that.  I need to win the lottery and order a case of Super Sniper 10x scopes and a case of Badger Rings.  For some reason I am always short at least one or two scopes. 

 

Now, if I say this real quick (I wish I had a Tac Ops rifle!) three times -  You think it will happen?
