A couple things that may influence your decision:

1. If you think you may wish to get different sights, there are various replacement sights available for the P series pistols, and I don't believe there are any for the CW pistols.
2. The P series pistols have polygonal rifling, whereas the CW series has conventional rifling. I like poly rifling in a pistol myself.

Of course, you have better resale value with the P, and the CW is a half inch smaller in both length and height.

I have never shot a 40 cal that I enjoyed shooting. That is why I don't have them anymore. 

I have a 9mm Kahr that is my primary carry gun, and I love it.
