I am looking for a good cheap scope and rings for my TC Omega Z5.  So far I have found a Bushnell Trophy 1.75-4x32 for $49.95 and Weaver Mounting System Base W/Rings for $28.33.

Anyone with experience with either of these items or comparable alternatives please let me know.

Well as a matter of fact I have that exact scope on a stainless omega that I just bought used at the gun show.  While it is not the scope I would have purchased had I selected one for it as I like Aimpoints.  I have to say that I really like the little Trophy  1.75 to 4 it is rather an interesting reticle as the outer crosshairs and circle are heavy enough for low light or brush and the inner reticle is fine enough for good accuracy.  On the low end it is awesome for stalking and at 4x plenty for 100 yds and just hold over 10 inches at 200 so It will do everything I need it to.  I had it on the range for a day and it works well.

I dont mind the weaver base so much but I hate their rings I really prefer Warne. This scope that I have is weaver base and millet rings so far so good.

Thanks fellas, I will check out those millet rings
Should I consider spending more?
If I spend a hundred bucks instead of 50 there are tons of scope options. It looks like I found a pretty good buy on the trophy because it is $100 most places.

Also, any opinions of the Leupold Rifleman base and rings for this setup?

Leupold should be OK just stay away from Weaver rings especially the ones with two bands across the top the are the worst rings I have ever had. Personally I really like the Warne Rings and base they are steel and hold up well.  If you want to go over the price of the scope you are looking at there is one in the Bushnell Trophy line with a balistic reticle for a Musket and there are some low power ones with illuminated #4 reticle.  Other than those Weaver makes a decent scope and Sightron S1 is a fairly nice scope.

Thanks again

How about the Simmons ProHunter Master Series 2-7x32 vs. the Bushnell TROPHY 1.75-4X32?

Nikon Prostaff, 2-7x32.  Might be a bit more than you're looking to spend, but for the price it's a lot of scope.

I thought about the Prostaff, my concern with the Prostaffs is that there seems to be a large number of refurbs available which leads me to question their quality.  I saw the Prostaff 2-7x32 refurb for $99, if I were going to spend $100 I would lean towards the Weaver 40/44 for $115.

I think for $50 the little trophy will do the trick.  Thanks to all for the advise
