Tim Tebow is a tough fellow. If the concussion is deemed mild or slightly moderate, he will likely be o.k. in a week or so. This is a great time for a Gator bye week.

Meyer ran to the middle of the field and knelt over Tebow talking to him while the doctor's were there talking with his star quarterback. Meyer let everyone in on that conversation.

“I grabbed his hand and he grabbed mine,” Meyer said. “I looked at him and asked him 'How are you doing?', he said, 'Good'.” He asked me “Did I hold on to the ball?”...typical Tebow. I asked him what play it was and he said “stick-lion”, I winked at him and said 'It's great to be a Florida Gator' he said, 'It's great to be a Gator.’”

that was a scary hit, when they had him on the golf cart and he blew chunks into the red baggy i knew that wasnt a good sign. if the gators and tim are smart they will take their time to make sure he is 100% again.

Hit was solid and clean. No cheap shot, but TT never saw it coming.

I have had a few concussions and barfed both times. Never that soon after the hit, though. It very well might be the combination of the two.

Another HUGE injury to report from yesterdays action, is Bama star LB Dont'a Hightower who got his left knee banged up against the Hogs. The super sophmore might be out for season.

Timmy was released today from the hospital. Guess he's day to day from here.

I didn't hurl when I received a concussion in a dune buggy accident...but then again...maybe I did and don't remember. Whacko

I hope Tebow will be OK.  It would not look good for a SEC champion to play Texas with either not  having Tebow or have not beaten Tebow. Hope it's nothing for the games sake.  Even if Bama beat Florida, if they did it without Tebow on the field what did the guys do. I hate asterisks but you know there would be one on that win. I like teams to be at their best to play their best games.  Any other way is a pointless win.

Tim took a heck of a lick, but I think what really did him in was the 2nd impact of hitting the other players knee.  Glad to hear that he is recovering and hope he gets back to 100%.

HOW ABOUT THEM HAWKEYES!!!!!  Handed Penn St. their jock strap!!!  Maybe we will be rated now.  The Iowa D was smothering.

I think Tim will be fine.... I believe that he is as tough mentally as physically. There are some that after a concussion they are never quite right again for a period of time they get a sort of shell shock. I doubt Tim is that type.

Now they need to keep at it, not relax due to being ranked 13.

Could be.  Long row to hoe between now and then.  Currently at the top of the BIG 10.  Coach Ferentz will have to keep them on the straight and narrow.

Just read about it on ESPN. He dropped the bar while bench pressing on to his throat. He needed emergency surgery. The RB is Stafon Johnson number 13 for the Trojans. He is more of the goal line RB for USC. Luckily, the Trojans are deep and have guys to fill in for him. My prayers are with him for a speedy recovery.

+1 on the prayers

It had to be over 200 lbs. that landed on his throat.  From what I heard, only one hand slipped....which explains why he is alive.  If the bar had landed 'square' on his neck, it probably would have been fatal.  I've spent years lifting and that is a nightmare.

Mark,  any word on your QB?  (this is almost a silly question, I'd bet money that he'll play)
