U of M might actually have a quarterback this year now that our running back went to the NFL.
Give me a shot, I won't disappoint!

Ted, it goes beyond nasty! I will freely admit I am a rabid Alabama fan. Yet I pale in comparison to the Phycho's we have had at late. One ex Texas state trooper Alabama fan actually poisoned the trees of Toomers corners! I have done some stuff like taking down a neighbors LSU flag. ( I'm surrounded by coonasses ) An put up a Bama flag on their flag pole. Just this year I have a bet with my ex co-op from that cow college down on the plains. That if the barners win he will shave my mustache off in front of the whole engineering department, Since I last shaved it was for boot camp if Bama wins I'm shaving his head in front of the whole department. I will give them some credit, they have an excellent engineering program. But watch for cows while exiting off wireman rd.   I'm not making that up. LOL. Went to the Hard rock match down south of there an almost plowed one.

Oh and ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!

Hey, Steelie --
Any chance you may be planning to go to the Bama - A&M game on 9/14? If so, you're welcome to camp out at my house, as I live about 45 min away from Kyle Field. I won't hold your team allegiance against you, my friend! Heck, I might even smoke a brisket and some ribs for the occasion and give you a sampling of some Texas BBQ.

I wanted to go to that game, but ticket prices are through the roof and it's sold out.

Home issues and work will not let me. But I do appreciate the offer Ted. If John M. doesn't play it ain't worth going. But you might want to move up to Dallas on the 13th 'cause I believe a Crimson Tsunami it going to strike the Galveston coast and ROLL in about 150 miles on the 14th.   Just sayin'

As much as I like A&M (which is bunches) and dislike Alabama (which is also bunches), I see a Bama knockdown in the works. Hippie

As an A&M alum and fan, I'm used to being disappointed, so as optimistic as I am about the level of talent we have now, I can see us getting our heads handed to us. OTOH, I also believe we are very capable of pulling out the win based on the fact we still have the nucleus of a team that, once they started firing on all cylinders, became as good as any in the country toward the end of last year. I know Bama will be fired up for revenge, and it's incredibly difficult to beat a Nick Saban - coached team 2 years in a row, so A&M will definitely have to bring their A+ game.

If A&M is able to put some talent in a couple of key vacancies, which the rumor mill says they'll be able to do, I think it will be a close, hard-fought game. On paper, they're loaded with talent right now.

I'm just glad it's being played in Kyle Field this year! I'm really looking forward to this one!

Hey Rifle, my buddy just got 6 tickets to the ATM/ALA game and invited me and the wife.  I've always been one that subscribes to the theory that "the best seats in the house" are in my living room.  Trying to decide if I want to fight the crowd and go, or eat steaks and sip sweet tea an watch from home.  What do 'ya think?

I think you should sell your two tickets to me, cuz I haven't been successful in finding any! Ha!

Seriously, I agree with you on your living room being the best seats in the house, as far as seeing all the action is concerned. With DVR, I can stop, replay, skip commercials, go get a beer, etc, and my couch is infinitely more comfortable. The food is DEFINITELY better and much less expensive at home!

However, the game atmosphere is fun.

Put it this way... if I had tickets, I'd go, only because I live close by and am an alum, but if I didn't go to either college and just wanted to watch a good college game, I'd stay home and watch it on my big screen.
