I don't know exactly how compact you intend, however, I find the Leupold BX-1 (model name Yosemite) for about $100, to be an incredible value.
This binocular is a porro design but is very compact and amazingly clear for such an inexpensive product. I purchased this binocular, 8 x 30, for my grandson to watch deer in the front yard and dauphin at the beach when we are on vacation. I was truly taken by just how clear and sharp this binocular is. Though I own some pretty good glass I wouldn't hesitate to take the BX-1 on a Montana antelope hunt. If you insist on a roof prism design, the major manufacturers, especially Bushnell, produce some very decent optics. Wf |

I also think that the Yosemite by Leupold is a great binocular. I had the 8x30 and now i have the 6x30 and i find it even sharper and brighter than the 8x30. It is an excellent binocular for turkey hunting. I can easily see turkeys and identify gobblers at 800 yards away. I can also easily use it in the brush areas, it is low power and therefore wide angle and little focusing needed. Small, light, compact, easy to use with one hand. I fully recommend the 6x30. Yes, SIX power. It's awesome.
You don't want a 10x in a compact, and you don't want a 10x for turkey hunting. In optics, more is not always better.

The Nikon Action Extreme 7x35 Porro is another very good choice. |

I prefer Porro prism binoculars especially those made in Japan. (i.e. Minox BD 10x44 BP) 8>)

I also have a Yosemite 6X30. It is a great value, as mentioned.
For a roof prism model meeting your criteria, this is a good choice from a good company: http://swfa.com/Vortex-8x32-Diamondback-Binocular-P51769.aspx Eye relief is just a little short, if you wear glasses. |

I managed to snag a mint pair of used 8x20 Leica Ultravids for about $350 and they are my turkey and early bow hunting bin. The Zeiss Victory or Swarovski 8x20 would be in the same class. I had the Leica 8x20 Trinovids but as an eyeglass wearer, the eye relief was always a tad short. Good luck.
