I have not seen this particular scope, but everything that I have used in the Conquest line has been very bright.  I am just curious as to why you would want a 50mm objective in a 3-9 scope.  I assume that you are picking this power setting for a general big game role.  If so, I have always found that the larger objectives just seems to add bulk and get in the way.  A 40mm will be sufficient for U.S. big game hunting scenerios.  But, if you just like a larger objective, by all means get it and enjoy it.

The 50mm will be brighter on the higher powers than the 44mm. There wont be a difference in brightness under 7x between the two. Your exit pupil starts to be a considerable factor once you get over 7x and you will need that extra size. The 50mm objective will allow extra light to hit your eye on those high powers. If you like to zoom in on your target or take some fairly long shots you would want that 50mm......and like ranburr said it will be a little heavier and bulkier......"So put that in your pipe and smoke it".
