For sale in excellent condition is a Mark VII 44 mag, stainless frame, matte black barrels and slide, factory weaver scope mount, 4 magazines, manual and take down tool. Barrels are 6 inches and 10 inches. Millet fully adjustable sights on the slide and 6 inch barrel. 10 inch barrel has factory front sight.
The scope mount can be removed easily and the barrels can be swapped out in 4 to 5 seconds. Both barrel have Polygonal Rifling (RH twist) 1 in 18 inches. Weight is just over 66oz w/ 6 inch barrel Scoped and on sand bags at 100 yards with a load of winchester 296 pushing a hornady 200 grain XTP, I have gotten groups just under 3 inches. Due to the gas operating system and weight of the pistol, this is a low recoiling handgun. **Note, lead (non jacketed)bullets should not be used as they can block up the gas port, and none where ever fired in this gun!** I bought and used this for deer hunting until the T/C contender/encore bug hit. Now the T/C's are all I use for hunting, and this poor fellow has remained in the safe for the last three years only coming out a few times each year for a cleaning with break-free CLP. It is seeking a home that will use him. I have a near 1600.00 into the whole set up. Asking Edited by niles coyote - July/20/2008 at 02:21 |
