This was my brother's first gun, and I bet dad didn't pay any $17.00 for it; he couldn't afford it then. My brother still has that rifle and I think that's where his love affair with single shot rifles started.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

That was my first rifle.  They were $17.95 new in the late fifties.  I paid $75 for one in 1980.

I loved that old rifle....but I longed for a repeater eventually.  I figured I would someday get a repeater when I grew up and got a job and got married and had to shave everyday.

How about a knife that you can put a Glow-Stick into when working in the dark and don't want to lose your knife in the woods?

TOYOTA LAND CRUISER HJ45 BJ40 4.0 PETROL RHD NOT LAND ROVER

Now here is a truck!!  Toyota Land Cruiser 45 pick up.

TOYOTA LAND CRUISER HJ45 BJ40 4.0 PETROL RHD NOT LAND ROVER

Here is a 1984 Model from the UK.  I don't believe these trucks were imported into America this late.  Australia, Africa, and South America got them.

They look like the old sixties trucks.

For fifty years I wanted a new sheath for that old Cattaraugus Army knife that I got from my uncle when I was twelve.  I finally ordered one from Harry Savage.

" ( .....Peddler.....! ....)

No, Pedd....the knife is a Cattaraugus from Cattaraugus, New York.  You were probably there last Thursday.  It's an old 1940s Cattaraugus 225Q Army Quartermaster knife from WWII.  That is an Internet picture of a nice one.  Mine is just as nice.  Years ago I went over it with some jeweler's rouge and a buffing pad.  The old sheath is all worn out from decades ago.  The new sheath makes the old knife look like a NEW KNIFE!

From now on, every time I get a knife, I will contact Harry Savage and have him upgrade the sheath for me.

Ed the Kabar knives were made in Olean, NY which is not far from Cattaraugus. Probably a connection there.
