Im using a 10x42 IOR, and my usual range is outdoors, 100-200 yds, but the other day i went to an indoor 30 yd range and was unable to focus the reticle on targets at 30 yds. i tried both the side focus and the parallax adjustments. is this just because of the magnification? also i did not have my sunshade with me but may that have helped? |

Check the eye piece focus, (ocular) make sure that you have this focused properly, use a blank wall well lit. put your scope to your eye and close your eye, then reopen it if the ret is not clear adjust accordingly, then look through the scope, at the wall back through the scope, if it's blurry adjust it accordingly. If after you've gotten the ret focus right you still find that it's fuzzy your mag or the parallax will not adjust to that range. some are for 50 yrds and out, yours may be like so. |
