Has anyone had experience with this. I have a FFII with the balistic plex and do not like it. I'm thinking about having a regular plex put in.... is it worth it?

I really like my ball plex on my FFII. I sent in my Black Diamond for some work and new target knobs. Had it back in three weeks time. If you like the scope other than the reticle, it is probably worth sending it it. It will be 50 plus the shipping to get it there, they will pay the shipping to send it back. Which reticle are you looking at?

I like just the plain old plex. I thought there was something wrong with the FFII, but after comparing to a 4200 3-9X40 and my Kahles CL 3-10X50 I think its just the stupid Balistic Reticle. The FFII has more eye relief than the 4200 and with 2 kids and their shorter arms, I'm thinking about keeping the FFII and getting the reg. plex!

Is your scope the 3x9 or the 4.5-14? The 3x9 FF II has never looked nearly as clear as the 4.5x14 FF II. To my eyes the 4.5x14 is optically a good scope and very clear for the price.

I would send it in. FFIIs are decent scope and I would say it is worth the money to swap the reticle out. Make sure to call Burris first. Tell them what you want, and the follow the directions they give. Or email them first. They quote a 6-12 week turn around, but I had mine back in about 3 including the return shipping. Here is the Burris CS site with the reticle choices.

I have one with the regular plex reticle. I like it, however I hope Burris' future includes some more reticle choices. This was a hang up I had in choosing a scope, but I'm satisfied., if you feel you need to make a switch, I would do it, I think it makes all the difference, nothing worse then looking thru the glass and being unnecessarily annoyed, for 50 bucks and a little bit of waiting I would do it..
