I have a Browning B-78 in25-06 that my father-in-law gave me, likes hornady 117 SST's, shoots consistantly sub 3" groups with my hand loads at 500 yds. I have never shot in any farther, as my zeis conquest 3-9x40 doesn't have much elevation. One hole groups at 100yds, witch is wear it see's action in the field.Big Grin

I have two memorable long range 25-06 experiences, both with HOR 117gr BTSP: 1)Montana mule deer beyond range of 500y range-finder, hit solidly broadside, fell dead within 10Y. Beautiful expansion of slug under off-side hide. 2)Colorado antelope hit too far back (cross-wind)at 478y just sat down, and died before I reached him. Bullet passed thru. IMR 4831 gave 3074fps. I am at a loss to explain why at 2000-2150fps the BTSP killed so dramatically, but I must recommend what worked so well.    Dr. Bill
