Haven't gotten to many hits on previous posts so here goes.  I need a spotter and have researched many forums and scopes but never side by side.  The two scopes I am deciding on is the Nikon Pro Staff 20 x 60 x 82 and Bushnell elite 20 x 60 x80.  So far I have only looked at the Nikon indoors and to my eyes it looked great.  I have not seen through the Bushnell but am considering it because it has ED lenses and the price difference is negligible.  From what I hear ED is suppose to be better but the only scopes with ED I had seen through were Cabelas scopes and was not impressed.  Any recommendation and personal experience insight would be greatly appreciated.  The size of the scope does not matter because it is mainly for seeing bullet holes to 300yds which is the max on my local ranges.  I am willing to go about $100 dollars more for a different scope but not much more since I need a couple of hundred dollars for a good solid tripod.   ThanksBig%20SmileSmileBig%20GrinBanditoExcellentCool

I have one of these and its OK not perfect but not that expensive.  When you start talking about something in the $700 range Im thinking if it  has to be that good you might as well go all the way and get a Swarovski or Zeiss. One other mid priced one you should consider is:

I have a Bushnell Elite 20-60x80 and have to say I really like the spotter.  I upgraded from a bushnell trophy of the same power and it was like I had a new set of eyes.    Haven't looked through a Nikon so I can't compare.
