I just looked at this model 70 classic in SS barrel, nice wood NIB.  It was priced at $625.
30-06.  Is this a good price, good rifle ....any thoughts.  Thanks guys.

This is not the best forum to put this in, but I think that those guns really stand out as one of the better issues in recent years. It is very classy looking and of course an M70. That price is very fair.

Every one on http://gunbroker.com/Auction/SearchResults.asp is synthetic right now. I think that price is good.

Thanks.  I looked on Ozark guns and it said "All sold out".  I'm in a small town in TX.  The guns fit and finish seemed more like a $800+ gun.   I was not lookin for such a gun, but it really caught my eye and interest.   I do not even have wood guns, but this gun....

Thanks Tahqua for the help

Although I only have one in my collection (7 mag), I've always been partial to the model 70!_popupControl();

PappaBear, I used to have one of these rifles (stainless classic / walnut) in the Featherweight style stock that I really liked.  I wish now that I had never sold it.  It shot o.k, not great, but not bad either, but it had a nice piece of wood on it, fit and finish was pretty good for the price, and the action is a classic.  $625 is more than reasonable if it's in good condition.
