I'd like to get a decent mount for under $100 so I'm currently looking at these two.
Input on these two mounts or any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

I am familiar with the armalite one piece mounts and I have one in 30mm and one in 1 inch the 30mm us used and the 1 inch is new. They are an OK system but I really prefer Badger Ordnance which is what I went to after using the 30mm for a year or so. If you are interested in a used one PM me and make me an offer. As for the "RRA" I think it is a bargain, and I doubt you can beat the price, and it should work well. Most of the good stuff is Badger Ordnance, LaRue, ARMS, GG&G. What optic are you trying to mount?

Ok so apparently I couldn't type earlier tonight. I meant to compare the Armalite to the RRA (Rock River Arms) mount, not the RAA (Russian American Armory).

Also has anyone heard anything about the Valdada One Piece Rail Mount? It costs around $95.

I have the Valdada mount and it works well, but it mounts the scope a lot lower than typical AR-15 mounts.

one piece rail mounts are made in one piece---- meaning its not likely that the two holes are concentric -- unless you get the really expensive ones. ---

My Valdada mount is pretty concentric. I checked. A couple of LaRue mounts I have played with were also very concentric.
