I have a Swarovski PV 3-12X50 Plex scope that I can't seem to give away..............even at $900 can't seem to get a buyer ! So I just got my .22 magnum today. Ended up with a Ruger 77/22m varmint all weather laminate . I think I am just going to put my Swaro. on it !
I know it's kinda of overkill ..............but I figure I might as well instead of give my scope away at a rediculous price !
Any negatives to this ? I know there may be a parralax issue but I have tested the scope at close range ..............20-30 yrds and it's extremely clear on 3x but I realize parralax may come into an issue ! Figure I'll try it anyway..............but would like to know if anybody has an opinion on why I should'nt use it..............besides it's over kill for a .22m !
BTW...........Happy holidays !!!

Mine are Ruger. The Leos are nice, too. If you ordered the highs you should be good to go. My Leo is an EFR 3.5-10x50.

Got'r set up yesterday. Looks great.......it is slightly higher than I would prefer but overall works well ! Biggest complaint I have right now is the bolt..........it barely and I mean "barely" clears the scope when it's up ! It works but will take some getting used to !! Got to find some time this afternoon or tomorrow to shoot it !

PM inbound with shipping information.
That would be a great rimfire setup. I'm turning green here.

I am pretty darn happy !! I shot it some yesterday and today at lunch !!
I can keep 8 out of 9 shots under .75" at 65 yrds ........shot probably 6 groups! And I got exactly a 2" lateral group at 100-110 yrds with 8 out of 9 shots on the only group at that range........and it was windy today ! There always seemed to be a flyer in each 9 shot group ! But several 3-4 shot clusters were 1/2" or under !! I was shooting maxi-mag 40 grn tmj's . My Maximag +v's did not shoot as well..........about 1.5" at 50 yrds !!
Pretty fired up about this combo ..........especially since I have just been shooting off the toolbox on my truck !! Edited by cbm - January/22/2009 at 17:58 |
