Boots You are coming along quite well, Im glad you are no longer kicking the 3rd door. Im curious though . Which Truck Part are you going after next? Perhaps you might consider buying the replacement part first, then put the boots to the part after you have the new one being shipped to you.... Well, just a thought..
Bud, Yes I just got to work at 11:00 AM.....Im exhausted, my nap was about 10 Hours, but don't worry Im here now for ya!

my entire dash is dead, the dummy lights will light up before you start the motor like they are suppose to etc, and the high beam indicator works, the box that shows the odometer and the transmission selector work, but the dash lights dont work at all so its fun to drive at night.

Ahhhhh, if your tail lights don't work either, try changing the fuse.

tail lights work just fine, the backlights for the heater/a/c control dont work either, but the orange lights for the rear window defroster and the fresh/recirculate selectors work, my 4x4 control lights work too.

Afternoon all. Had an interesting weekend, not exciting, just interesting. Also had 6" of snow and crazy cold.
Bud, I didn't get to kill anything this weekend or shoot any full autos, but I'm making a list. The new dog tried to kill a shrew but even that got away from her. I was affraid she was going to chase a young buck, but I got her off it's trail before she found it.

Yeah, but then you spend so much time waiting to be pulled out of the 3" of snow you got stuck in, or the local Taco John's drive thru.

no thanks if i wanted a rough ride i would buy an old sherman tank im not a chevy fan i think they give the best ride out of the big three in the 1/2 ton pickup category. if i were after a 3/4 ton work truck i would have a ford no doubt. i dont like the f-150 for some reason they just dont ride right. i dont like dodge either.

i am looking at buying a chevy suburban for the wife here pretty quick though. i like the 5.3 motor i like the ride i really like their leather seats. probably more importantly, ive spent a fair amount of time working on them over the years. the oil company my dad works for ( which he is the head honcho in the auto shop and the industrial engine shop) runs about 98% chevy trucks, only a select few guys out there have fords and all of those are f-450's. so ive worked on a lot of chevy trucks over the years and feel pretty comfortable working on them helps i think. i can fix something wrong most of the time and save money with parts and labor over the dealership doing it. if i run into trouble ive got a whole shop full of mechanics at my disposal to talk me through any issues i run into which is nice.

Actually Sherman tanks have a smoother ride than most Cadilacs; their just a PITA to drive.
After hearing about all the transmission problems that the 1/2 ton Dodge and Fords have had I would have to go with a 3/4 ton.
