Ok, before I get the BSA flames, I've noticed that Chris has given positive support for the sweet 17.. I am wondering if the new sweet 17 that has recieved positive support compares to the .22 special scope from them? I am planning on eventually getting a good scope for the 10/22 that I have, but its just a plinking gun for right now, and I figure that a BSA will do until this college student can afford a 'real' scope. I dont need the rangefinding recticle that the sweet 17 has, I'm just wondering optically/mechanically, is it a 'decent' low end scope that will more or less hold zero for plinking use? Thanks.
(ducks and covers from the BSA flames runing after him..) |

Do not under any circumstances buy a BSA 3/4" Rimfire Scope. As a matter of fact do not buy any 3/4" scope from any manufacturer, they are toys and questionable for a Daisy Red Rider.
You are safe with a BSA .22 / Airgun scope (especially the units with stock numbers that start with AR). Edited by Chris |

no.. I'm not that dumb.. lol, I had one of those 20mm scopes that came with my crossman pumpmaster, it was a piece of junk, both the gun and scope.. What I meant was this http://www.riflescopes.com/products/S39X32WR/bsa_3-9x32_.22_ special_riflescope.htm I saw it in a catalog, I was thinking at that price there probably just junk, but your support of the 'sweet 17' made me wonder... thats in the 'safe' zone you were talking about... heck, I think I'll just pay afew extra bucks and get a swift, I've heard alot of good comments about their stuff. Oh, I know SWFA doesn't list them, but can you guys get them? Edited by rocketbarney |

I checked with a few distributors we deal with and none of them carry Swift, sorry.
Also consider these:

LOL those BSA 3/4" rimfire scopes look pretty cheap. I think the $20 price tag is even a little high. Bushnell and Simmons would definitely be a better choice than BSA. |
