I HAVE A MOSSBER 817 .17HMR RIFLE.  I RECENTLY PURCHASED A BSA SWEET 17 6-18X40MM SCOPE FOR THE RIFLE.  I TOOK IT OUT TO ZERO AND I RAN INTO A PROBLEM.  MY IMPACTS WERE LOW, SO I ADJUSTED ELEVATION.  THE ELEVATION IS MAXED, BUT IMPACTS ARE STILL LOW.  ANY IDEAS TO GET ME ON TARGET?

Check your ring heights.  Please turn off the caps as there is no need to shout.

This my personal professional opinion regarding your problem with the B (Better) S (Stay) A (away). First remove from rings , place scope in nearest waste disposal container. Take Credit Card go to www.swfa.com and depending on how much you can aford to spend you might consider a better quality scope for your very nice gun. Mueller 4.5-14x40 APV Riflescopehttp://swfa.com/Mueller-45-14x40-APV-Riflescope-P9136.aspx or one of these they get great reviews  http://swfa.com/Bushnell-6-24x40-Banner-Dusk-Dawn-Rifle-Scope-P4742.aspx  GOOD LUCK

Medic52 has better things to say about BSA (accronym wise) than I do, but his point is the same as mine. That said; How is your scope mounted to the rifle? It sounds like you have a mounting problem. A picture says a 1000 words. If you can post a picture of your scope mounted on the rifle, it might help diagnose the problem.
