Summary
“This is another way of saying that the Tenth Amendment is not binding on the Federal Government. Of course, that amounts to saying that federal officials have decided to ignore the Constitution when it doesn’t suit them.”

It will have to go to the Supreme Court which is apart of Federal Government. There is no doubt as to where this will go. As the Supreme Court has ruled before, The Constitution be damed. The Fed will attack this state by state. Tennessee being one of the poorest states makes it a prime, weak target for the sovereignty issue. It should be a class action by all of the States. Then there may be a chance.

Dream on guys, the ATF just told everybody if you make a gun, and sell a gun. Be prepared for war with the ATF,  the FBI, and US Marshals and the Tennessee Senate be damned.  We in the south have seen this before they called it the "war of northern aggression".

It has been a long standing rule that federal law supercedes state law.  In Texas under use of force it states that you can use deadly force against someone commiting criminal mischief during the night time - criminal mischief could be some kid toilet papering your yard.  While it might be reasonable to go out and slap the snot out of the kid it isnt reasonalbe to shoot him.  A lot of our problem is that laws are made by lawyers for lawyers to keep lawyers in business so they leave room to argue the case both ways rather than a clear cut  Thou Shall Not....     I  believe in a right to self defense to defend your life or the life of another, but the instance of something being an immiment threat is quite short and the window of opportunity closes when the threat no longer exists.  I really think that the concept of using deadly force to protect property is on it's way out the door. A lot of states dont have a death penalty for anything, which I think shows that mindset.   I think that the majority of federal laws enforced by ATF were well intentioned by those who signed them into law.  ATF like other law enforcement agencies sees things as either black or white with no shades of grey and zero tollerance, they merely enforce the existing law they did not write it.  The judges have some lee way as far as intent is concerned.  I think we have a real problem when we have legislators who vote to support a bill and pass it into law without ever reading it to see what it says.  That tells me they are not the ones in control and that is not as it should be. It would seem to be of critical importance to replace everyone in the House and Senate with people who's intent is to represent the best interest of the citizens who have elected them.  The D and the R are not serving the public interest we really need option #3.  I suspect that a failure to elect reasonable honest men to elected office will cost us dearly.

This will get interesting, to say the least.  I hope for the sake of the Constitution that the ATF gets drop kicked when the smoke clears.

The problem with electing reasonable and sincere men to public office is that the political powers have made doing so very costly and difficult at best. There are any number out there that would do so, given the opportunity.
There are other problems we face as well..... Did you know that elected officials when they leave office continue to get there salaries and perks. That they do not have to use or pay into our social security system. They have a better system for retirement and health care, than anything the rest of us have. They are clearly out of step with the rest of the country, and those they supposedly represent. They really only represent their respective parties, and their own self interests. Bottom line is this.... Until we the people make them live as we live, and by the same rules that we have to live by, they will continue the same nonsense.
