Thats the exact thing you said LAST YEAR, Mike! Peeker

Bama will be dominating on defense, but I really wonder about the QB position. Whatcha got on the new guy, Mike?

Watch for Tebow's back up, John Brantley. This kid can throw the football down field.

I look for Tebow to "act more like a quarterback" this year (pocket passer)....I get the feeling that Tim is going to use this year to expand his NFL resume.  Tebow was a 3rd round prospect (at best),  but if he can prove that he can run an NFL offense, he's a top 3 pick.   I think he can do the job, but he needs to get some 'film' out on the street.

I mean, he came back...for what???  He's the ideal pro QB....never in trouble, always says the right thing, a winner, Heisman winner, national champion, etc.   All he needs is proof that he can be a 'pro-style' cube.

Tim came back because he loves being a Gator and he wants to give them their only undefeated season, IMO.

Gators have a new O coordinator, Steve Addazio, and he's supposedly working with Tim's feet and throwing techniques to make Tebow a better pocket passer, as you mentioned.
(Still look for the old "spread and shred" we've come accustomed to though.) Wink
I'm curious how this will pan out since the former OC, Dan Mullen and Tim had a great relationship
RB Emmanuel Moody REALLY needs to step up and take some heat off of Tebow and pound the ball inside. Rainey and Demps on the outside, star TE Aaron Hernandez and a veteran WR corp could be devastatingly effective.

Brandon Spikes and the Gator D are the keys and they are going to be flat out NASTY this year!

Florida has great team speed.  That's where I think they have an edge over the rest of the pack.  Now Mark has me curious about Oklahoma State....I reckon I'll have to launch an investigation Google It

Hmmmmmmmmm... O-State.......  I would love to jump on that being its my Alma M.....

I don't know about Tebow staying in the pocket.  I think Florida had so many weapons on offense that Tims ability to take off and scoot  (love that word) is what gave them the edge over so many teams.  Defenses had a hard time running stunts and doubles on Florida.  You couldn't chance leaving one of their offenses weapons uncovered or Tebow would burn you... Cover up all of their weapons and Tebow scoots off and burns you...  But I do agree he needs to prove he can stay in the pocket and orchestrate.  A pro team will certainly give him a go and see if he can develop no matter what kind of year he has.

I would love to say the Sooners will take it....  I think they will be in the top as will the normal power houses, but I'm going with a Florida - USC championship game.

Just a reminder about preseason polls; I think five of the preseason top twenty last year ended up with losing records.  Oklahoma State and Alabama were not ranked  Shocked

Preseason polls should be outlawed.  Just let them play!

We're still a few yrs away from me spoutin off!  We should be able to win the Big 12 North, but will get blown away in the Championship game.

Steel..... I was in Bama land this past weekend.  My nephew married a Bama Girl and the wedding was damn near on Campus!  My first Husker game I saw in person was against  Ozzie Newsome(sp)'s Tide!  They came to Lincoln and won, can't remember how close it was, but it was cool as hell.  When the huskers came out onto the field and the crowd went nuts, all the hair on the back of my neck stood up.... the electricity was real!!!!

Would love to get a chance to see the Huskers play in Tuscaloosa!
take em!

Pete Carroll seems to like him from what I have read in the newspaper. Most of the linebackers are also going to be new. Carroll is a great coach so I have all the faith that he will put together a great team. He is really excited about Joe McKnight
