Well I don't have Black Betty, or White Wilma, but I have just added Sweet Silvia to my collection. (Name may be changed, just need something to call her until I settle on something. Please suggest your best names.)

Anyway this is my new Weatherby Accumark in .300 Wby.

Very nice boom stick, Trigger!
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Had to do some "horse trading" to get her. This rifle is WAY out of my price range right now with both of the breadwinners losing their jobs in this house this year, but it was worth it to get the rifle I always wanted.

Well, you put loaded ammunition in the magazine.....cycle the bolt.......and pull the trigger. The bullet comes out the muzzle end.Big Smile

Haven't really got much of a chance to shoot her. Just picked her up today. The only three factory rounds I had went easily into a quarter. I had three handloads from my other .300 that were far from max loads, and they went everywhere, so it obviously didn't like them. The only other rounds that have been through her were to check for pressure. They were 5 rounds in .5 grain increments, and they went into 1" as well. I am having a good feeling that she will be a shooter, just have to wait and see what she likes.

Actually, I still have all of them.  I still like them, but a guy can never have too many toys. Besides, I needed a .300 for practice that was a little friendlier at the bench. At 6.75 lbs the Backcountry was a killer. I shoot my .300 like most guys shoot their .22's.

I have done the same thing many times Trigger, trade away the stuff I'm bored with to enable a new love affair.  She's a beauty!
