Hi guys,

Purchased a SS 10x42 a few years ago.  Mostly stayed in the original box, but used it today on a DPMS LR-308.  Was working well until I attempted to adjust the focus.  This is a side focus model.  After a small adjustment, knob became very stiff to turn and the stopped adjusting.  Thinking that the screws had come loose, checked them and all OK.

Anybody had this issue, and resolve it?

Thanks

Brian

I tried out that same model on a Test Drive last spring and it woked very well. I had not used a side-focus scope before, and really liked it.
I suppose a seal of some sort moved out of place on yours. You'll probably be instructed by SWFA to send it directly to Bushnell for repair. Let us know how well they take care of you.

Try loosening your rings, see if it'll turn then.

The Super Sniper I owned I believe was made by Tasco a ver good value.I never had a problem with it but sold the gun and scope because I needed something suited for low light coyote shooting.

It is very common for this to happen IF you have the rings to tight. Had a guy bring in a mark 4 leupy with this same deal this past summer. If it isn't the rings let me know. Here is my E-mail address Christopher@swfa.com

Spoke with SWFA and they advised me to send it to Bushnell repair.  It's in the mail, will advise the group when I hear from them.

Guys,
Sent the scope to Bushnell and received a reply today, scope will be replaced.  The bad news is they don't have any in stock and it could be weeks until they do.  Oh well, let's hope the world doesn't crap itself before it returns.

Thanks for the report and sorry you have to wait. Hopefully it won't be too long.
