I am looking to shoot Rifle Metallic Silhouette at this club i'm joining. Looking to shoot a .22 in the Hunter category (e.g. normal production .22 rifle).

Anyone shoot this disciple on here?? What's your scopes magnification??

P.S. I am buying a Savage Mark II BTVLS .22. Looking to put a Bushnell Elite 4200 on it.

I competed in a somewhat similar match, but only one time. The targets were bison silhouettes about the size of a housecat at either 300 or 400 yards, fired from a bench. I was invited on very short notice and took my Remington 541-S Custom Sporter (22 LR), suspecting that the 2-7 Leupold Vari-xII I had on it would probably not have enough elevation to compete. A few sighters proved that I was right - not even close to having enough "UP" in the turrets.
One of the fellas loaned me his very nice Sako with a Weaver T10 with a target dot reticle.
It was set up properly for that discipline with some elevation bias in the mounts, and I ended up in a two or three-way tie for second place out of maybe 30 guys shooting. Time of flight could have been measured with an hourglass, but there was no wind, and I toppled 22 of the 25 targets in the match. I think the guys that shoot it a lot mentioned something about nine feet (?) of bullet drop from the line of bore at that distance...
I was impressed with that scope. It was razor sharp and tracked perfectly. I don't know what distances you'll be shooting, but I think a 10X or 16X  Super Sniper would have been ideal for the match I shot.

The .22 Metallic Silhouette is shot over 100 metres (1/5th the size of the centrefire match)

Taken from an article on S.S.A.A.'s website: "Targets for the rimfire matches are scaled down to one fifth of their centrefire counterparts and the ranges at which the rimfire targets are shot are likewise scaled down to one-fifth. Chickens are thus placed at 40m, pigs at 60m, turkeys at 77m and rams at 100m."

Having not much luck finding out what scopes they use. Have heard that they mostly use scopes with a max zoom of 16X-24X...
