hey guys i am new here. and i am in need of a decent low price range scope. yea i know that dont go together but the budget is tight and deer season is here and my simmons whitetail scope i have to put on my other gun is busted.

my whitetail simmons scope is a 3.5x10x50mm been good for several years and looked at it today and it seems the crosshairs have rolled. is there anyway to fix this.

if not i am looking for a compareable scope in the same size range if possible. and i am also looking at a 6x20x50 bushnell but i think thats going to be to high power for a deer gun.

thanks for reading and let me know what yall think

Don't have this particular model but the Nikon's I do have (Monarch's) are holding up. http://swfa.com/Nikon-3-9x40-ProStaff-Riflescope-P42191.aspx

I've got one of these on a .223 and feel it's a good scope for the money. http://swfa.com/Burris-3-9x40-Fullfield-II-Rifle-Scope-P7932.aspx
Not sure what your price point is and the power range and objective may not work for you just trying to throw out some ideas. Best of luck with whatever you decide to go with.

Where you hunt what do you think the longest shot might be?  Is it mostly swampy, dense woods or some large open fields?

Do you think you might end up doing some hog hunting too?

You might be better off with a scope that has lower magnification than 10x (definitely lower than the 6-20x).

Maybe the Nikon Monarch 2-8x or Vortex Viper 2-7x that are a little over $200 would be a good fit, better quality than the $80-200 scopes and more proportionate to your rifle and hunting environment.
