I'm thinking off installing some type of red dot scope on my spare shotgun for my brother to use during turkey hunting. A Bushnell Tropy standard tube type for exmaple lists a FoV of 68' @ 100 yards - perfect for my brother to use out of a blind. But the Holographic type -specifically the Bushnell Holosight lists their FoV as "unlimited". That seems confusing and a bit of a stretch to me!
But what would be the pros and cons for either type in my situation? Thanks.

I prefer red dot myself, especially one of those low profile, light, and "full field of view" ones.
I think the holographics are more sight-restrictive.... but they are STURDY..... and sometimes that is a KEY characteristic if you want it to last the ages and not be destroyed by something like a drop on the floor....
